The Institute of Design supports its alumni by providing them with a variety of on-line services, as well as career placement, networking and social events.

AlumniNet
AlumniNet is a private web community where alumni can access job postings, the school calendar, discussion boards, and profiles of fellow alumni. (more information / register for an account)

ID-alum e-mail list
ID-alum is an e-mail list for ID alumni. Job postings for alumni are sent to this list, in addition to announcements, invitations, information about events and news about ID. To sign up for the ID alumni mailing list, send an e-mail to majordomo@id.iit.edu and include in the text of the message: "subscribe id-alum [insert your email address]". You can post to the id-alum list only from the account that you subscribe from. No message larger than 40K or containing attachments can be sent to the id-alum list.

Career information
ID alumni find work in a variety of careers, from design consulting, communication and product design and design planning, to software and IT, specialized user research, and business consulting and strategy. Alumni have worked for many types of companies; see a list of companies that hire graduates, as well as our 2005 alumni survey for more information.
