Portfolio   Projects

Here you have a brief overview of my portfolio. I included a variety of works, in order to give a broad glimpse of the recent projects I have developed academically and at work. Due to byte limitations, however, much has been left out. Feel free to contact me for a CD-Rom version of my portfolio or click on the link below to download or view it.

ThinkeringSpace

ThinkeringSpace (www.ThinkeringSpaces.org) is a system, composed of interactive, physical and virtual environments, situated in libraries, that encourage school age children to learn through self-directed discovery and social interaction. Part of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Initiative, the grant covered four main phases of the project: framing ThinkeringSpace, understanding libraries, learning by prototyping and guiding implementation.

E-Waste

E-waste is a project developed together with a team of ID (Institute of Design) students for the Observing Users class during Fall 2003. It consists of observation of users' attitudes towards the disposal of electronic waste. For that purpose, it combines a set of observational methods, such as video ethnography, home archeology (mapping electronics in the home), interactive card sorts and interviews.

EducaTivo

EducaTivo is a project about interactive televisions developed for the Cognitive Human Factors class, together with a team of students during Spring 2004. The focus was to understand user behavior through the creation of profiles for different age groups and to explore opportunities for educational iTV. Users were observed during interaction and behavioral prototypes were developed and tested.

Computer Graphics Project developed in 1998 with a team of Architects, Computer Analysists and Programmers at the completion of the Computer Graphics graduate expertise course at the Rio de Janeiro Catholic University, PUC-Rio.
