I hold Ph.D. degree in Human-centered Communication Design from the Institute of Design, Illinois Institute of Technology. I also hold a Master’s of Science Degree in Education and four
expertise diplomas, graduate level: Computer Graphics; Internet, Interface & Multimedia; Distance Education; and
Psycho-pedagogy. My B.S. is in Mathematics. |
Experience

My work experience goes from coordinating research on the ThinkeringSpace project, funded by
the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, to
coordinating the Educational Technology Department in the Rio de Janeiro State Government, Brazil. I have extensive experience with academic research, teaching (from pre-schoolers to graduate students), web and media design, educational technology, distance learning, and
management. |
Qualifications

DESIGN & RESESARCH SKILLS: Human-centered communication design, ethnographic research, academic research, interaction design, multimedia design, web design, instructional design.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Good knowledge in the following software and computer languages: MSOffice, Adobe/Macromedia Full Package, Action Script, and HTML. Exposure to: Corel Draw, Macromedia Director, Auto CAD, 3D Max, VB Script and Java Script.
STRENGTHS: Team work experience and skills, user observation skills, data analysis skills, synthesis skills.
LANGUAGES: Proficiency in English and Portuguese. Good knowledge of Spanish, French and Dutch. |
